A signing ceremony for eight projects with a combined investment of 2.4 billion yuan ($331.50 million) took place at the port logistics industrial park in the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province, on July 3.
They cover such fields as the deep processing of grain, oil and food, pharmaceutical raw materials, intelligent manufacturing, and more.
Specifically, they include a rice bran utilization project worth $60 million, a refined wax project worth $30.5 million, and three other projects worth 500 million yuan each – a cream powder and powdered grease project, an active pharmaceutical ingredient project, and a mechanical-electrical integration project.
In addition, there are three projects worth 100 million yuan each. These include a by-pass protein project, a customized chocolate project, and a functional food project.
These are said to match with the leading industrial chain of the port logistics industrial park, which will further optimize its industrial structure and help expand the industrial cluster effect.
