Taizhou recently hosted the College and Vocational School Live E-Commerce Competition at the Taizhou Human Resources Service Industrial Park. Twenty-four teams from 16 local institutions competed for the championship, showcasing their skills in promoting regional products through live streaming.
The event kicked off with Team 1 presenting Taizhou's famous morning tea sets. From fish soup noodles to crab roe buns, participants highlighted ingredients, flavors, and pricing, giving viewers an immersive taste of Taizhou's culinary traditions.
Local specialties such as Xinghua taro, fish balls, and drunken crab, along with health products from Yangtze River Pharmaceutical, also made appearances in the live streaming sessions. Teams employed creative strategies to engage audiences — some used rhythmic Tianjin clapper storytelling, others handed out virtual red envelopes.
To further nurture young talent, three local companies signed intention agreements with award-winning teams, laying the foundation for future collaboration.
"This contest is not only a test of skills, but also an innovative integration of education and industry," said Yin Rong'an, senior researcher at the Taizhou Education Bureau.
