This year's selected spaces span across the city and include museums, memorial halls, creative hubs, and urban reading rooms, integrating reading, leisure, entertainment, education, and exhibitions. Taizhou City Children's Book House, for example, blends books with culture to create a dynamic cultural complex. Beyond offering a refined reading environment, it also hosts a reader's salon, educational training, dining experiences, and family-friendly activities.
Spaces like π Space incorporate reading and cultural exchange into cafes and teahouses, providing a rich selection of books for visitors to enjoy while sipping coffee or tea. These spaces foster independent reading and encourage cultural interactions through book discussions.
Luhuali Book Bar and Xianhua Academy provide ideal places for relaxation and cultural engagement. Luhuali Book Bar, as a key hub for rural cultural development, organizes activities such as book recitals, painting sessions, and children's calligraphy workshops, benefiting groups like left-behind children and returning migrant workers. Xianhua Academy offers multiple reading areas and regularly hosts art exhibitions and poetry recitals.
With these diverse cultural spaces, Taizhou continues to enrich its public cultural landscape, enhancing access to high-quality cultural experiences for all residents.
