The Taizhou section of the Nanjing-Yancheng Expressway, connecting Nanjing and Yancheng cities in East China's Jiangsu province, has made great progress.
The Taizhou section has completed the construction and opening of the right section of the Daduo hub interchange. The hub interchange, including a 1.8-kilometer main bridge and eight ramps, is regarded as being the core of the entire Taizhou section.
With a total length of 126.6 km, the Nanjing-Yancheng Expressway passes through Liuhe district of Nanjing city, through to Yizheng city, Gaoyou city and Xinghua city, the last being administered by Taizhou.
The entire line is being constructed according to the standard configuration of two-way six lane expressways, with a design speed of 120 km per hour.
Once completed, the expressway will shorten the travel time between Nanjing and Yancheng cities to around two hours.
In addition, the overall layout of the expressway network in central Jiangsu will be further improved. This will enhance the level of interconnection and conversion efficiency of the expressway network, promoting the integrated development of the Nanjing city circle and the Yangtze River Delta region.
