With the end of school exams, the summer travel season is fast approaching and to meet the demand, especially from the students, the Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport is increasing and resuming several routes operated by Spring Airlines.
Spring Airlines will resume the Yangzhou Taizhou-Guilin route from July 7 to Aug 25, operating twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays with flights 9C7079 and 9C7080.
Meanwhile, the Yangzhou Taizhou-Taiyuan route will resume from June 26 to Aug 23, also twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays with flights 9C8833 and 9C8834.
Additionally, the Yangzhou Taizhou-Guiyang and Yangzhou Taizhou-Fuzhou routes will be increased to daily flights from July 1 to Aug 31. The Yangzhou Taizhou-Lanzhou route will also become a daily service from July 1 to Aug 25 with flights 9C8513 and 9C8514.
Summer airfares are not significantly higher than during the May Day holiday, with discounts available on popular routes. For example, post-exam flights to Zhangjiajie in Hunan province start at 330 yuan ($45.48), while tickets to Shenyang in Liaoning province and Xiamen in Fujian province are available from 270 yuan and 350 yuan, respectively.
What's more, a reduction in domestic flight fuel surcharges will further lower travel costs, according to a Spring Airlines representative.
