Taizhou city, located in East China's Jiangsu province, has increased the housing provident fund loan limit for graduates who have applied from its universities and for entrepreneurs working there, in a bid to reduce the burden of purchasing a home.
Graduates from Taizhou universities who stay in Taizhou for employment and embark on entrepreneurial ventures within five years and purchase their first self-occupied home there can enjoy a housing provident fund loan amount that has been increased by 50 percent.
That's based on the available loan amount, but not exceeding the maximum loan amount for personal housing provident fund loans in Taizhou.
In addition, Taizhou has also introduced preferential policies for employees with master's degrees or senior professional titles or above to apply for housing provident fund loans.
Employees who have obtained a master's degree or senior professional title or above – whether applying for housing provident fund loans for the first or second time, or whether as the main borrower or co-borrower – now have a maximum limit of 750,000 yuan ($103,523) for single employees and 1.5 million yuan for double employees. The latter category refers to a certified couple who work together in the same company.
