This year, a total of 30 key projects have been completed and launched at Taicang Port, fueling industry growth in the region.

The projects span diverse fields, such as advanced materials, auto parts, innovation carriers, biopharmaceuticals, and modern logistics and trade, further solidifying the foundation for the area's leading and pilot industries.

A shining example is Westlake Global Compounds' Taicang site. As a leading enterprise in advanced materials, the company has emerged as a forerunner in China's automotive industry thanks to its Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) slush powder.

Since the company began producing in September, demands for its products have increased, resulting in Westlake's plans to shift over 80 percent of output to its Taicang site by the end of this year. To promote the application of its products, the company is set to enter the advanced automotive market and strengthen its presence in the new energy vehicle industry.

Meanwhile, BMTS Technology's Taicang base took just over a year from planning to completion. Specializing in the R&D and production of automotive spare parts, the company is expected to achieve an output value of 120 million yuan ($16.46 million) by year's end.

For the upcoming year, the company has initiated a budget plan in order to increase its output by 20 percent. Upon reaching full production capacity, this major provincial project is expected to generate an annual output value of over 6 billion yuan.

Moving forward, Taicang port will continue to advance the "3+2+1" modern industrial system, enhancing both its industrial competitiveness and regional influence.
