The Taicang Sino-German Smart Manufacturing Academia-Industry Alliance has been included in the second batch of national city-level academia-industry alliances, making it the sole representative of Jiangsu province.

Focusing on critical sectors such as key components for new energy vehicles and industrial mother machines (machines used to manufacture machines), the alliance unites 48 leading enterprises with research institutions, universities, and industry associations.

With dual-system vocational education at its core, the alliance has developed a platform to align talent with industry needs, attract social investment, and enhance supportive policies, establishing itself as a national benchmark for county-level academia-industry collaboration.
