On Aug 11, the Sino-German Cultural and Sports Night commenced as a Taicang Rothenburg 19th Oktoberfest sub-event, launching a series of Sino-German cooperation events.

The seventh Taicang "China-Germany Friendship Cup" International Invitational Tournament was inaugurated at the event. This is the only regularly organized Sino-German table tennis competition in China, significantly promoting economic development and sports exchange between the two nations.

The 2024 "Sino-German Friendship Cup" Football Tournament was also announced. The tournament has been hosted for five consecutive years, inviting 16 teams annually, including local German enterprises such as Kern-Liebers and Schaeffler, enriching the lives of Chinese and German employees in these companies.

Additionally, the 2024 Taicang Sino-German Half Marathon was launched, scheduled to take place on Nov 17.

The Sino-German Contemporary Art Collaboration Series Exhibition was also inaugurated to enhance cultural and artistic exchanges between China and Germany, fostering a dialogue on the future of Sino-German art and culture.
