Sino-German cooperation in Taicang wins national recognition
The Taicang Sino-German Enterprise Cooperation Base was recently featured in CCTV Business Channel's "Invest in China" Outstanding Cases 2024, reaffirming its status as the "hometown of German companies".
Over the course of more than 30 years of Sino-German cooperation, Taicang, a vibrant county-level city of Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, has forged a unique path of collaboration with Germany. This path is founded on industrial cooperation, highlighted by vocational education, facilitated through cultural and athletic exchanges, and propelled by technological innovation.
Taicang currently boasts a total of over 500 German enterprises, including more than 60 "hidden champions". Six of Germany's top 10 machine tool companies and eight of the top 20 German family businesses have chosen Taicang as their base of operations. Taicang has now solidified its position as one of the most heavily invested and well-developed regions for Sino-German cooperation in China.
