China's first dual system vocational education industrial park established in Taicang

The inauguration ceremony of the Sino-German Dual System Vocational Education Industrial Park was held on May 30 in Taicang, Suzhou, Jiangsu province.

With a planned construction area of 320,000 square meters, the industrial park aims to train thousands of high-standard skilled professionals annually. It will serve as a comprehensive hub integrating skill training, exam certification, teacher training, industry-education research, international education cooperation, and talent reserve, catering to the diverse needs of various enterprises.

Additionally, the park will focus on servicing the Sino-German dual education industry, attracting more related enterprises to establish a robust industrial chain and creating a hub for vocational education industries.

Xu Huadong, mayor of Taicang, expressed during his speech at the ceremony that the establishment of the Sino-German Dual System Vocational Education Industrial Park signifies a new milestone in Taicang's dual education practice.

He promised that Taicang will leverage this opportunity to enhance policy support and investment, striving to build a more advanced system for nurturing technical and skilled professionals.

Christian Sommer, chief executive officer of the German Centre for Industry and Trade Taicang, praised Taicang's practice of dual-system vocational education in his address, expressing anticipation for further deepening cooperation with Taicang in the development of dual-system talent and industries.

During the event, a signing ceremony for key projects of the Sino-German Dual System Vocational Education Industrial Park was held, with over 20 formal collaborations, including cooperative school projects, enterprise training centers, and dual-system education training institutions, operating in the park.
