The 2024 Taicang Haihe Lanting Cup Youth Sailing Invitational concluded at Tianjing Lake in Taicang, Suzhou, Jiangsu province on May 12.

The event featured three categories: Laser 4.7 (ILCA4), optimist sailing, and windsurfing. Over 100 athletes representing seven clubs from Shanghai and Jiangsu participated in the one-day competition.

Sailing combines competition, adventure, and leisure, making it a versatile water sport. The sailing invitational provided a platform for the development of youth sailing and windsurfing, while also boosting the integration of culture, sports, and tourism in Taicang.

Taicang offered kayaking, paddleboarding, and sailing experiences at Tianjing Lake during the May Day holiday, not only building excitement for the event but also enriching the cultural and sports life of Taicang residents.
