Tiger Coatings GmbH & Co KG, an Austria-based manufacturer of powder coatings and inks, started constructing a fully automatic production line in Taicang, Jiangsu province on May 25.
With an investment of 150 million yuan ($21.72 million), the new factory covers an area of 12,000 square meters and has an annual output of 30,000 tons of molding powder.
The whole facility is expected to be completed in June 2020.
Founded in 1930, Tiger Coatings GmbH & Co KG is based in Wels, Austria with production facilities in Austria, Egypt, China, Canada, Mexico, the United States, and Vietnam.
In 2000, Tiger Coatings entered the Chinese market. To date, the company has opened three production facilities in Taicang of Jiangsu, Qingyuan of Guangdong and Chengdu of Sichuan; a Taicang subsidiary has always served as its headquarters in China.
In 2010, Tiger Coatings established a research and development center in Taicang, which was honored with the title of Jiangsu hi-tech company. Seven years later, the company started venturing into new material applications, including waterborne industrial coatings, industrial digital printing and solar power generation.
