Germany-based Fibro Laepple Technology GmbH plans to locate its manufacturing factory in the German Center in Taicang, Jiangsu province, local media reported on Jan 31.

"Taicang enjoys a good reputation in Germany for its sound industrial foundation," said Stephan Ltter, chief financial officer of Laepple Group, which owns the Fibro Laepple Technology GmbH. "To locate in the city is a new start for our company and it will help us better serve the global market."

In 2012, the German company established a subsidiary company in Shanghai, which is dedicated to marketing and aftersale services and with a rapid development over the past few years, Fibro Laepple decided to rent a 4,000-square meter factory in Taicang to produce standard parts for moulds.

Founded in 1958, Fibro Laepple Technology GmbH develops, produces and installs intelligent automation solutions for customers worldwide, including BMW AG, Daimler AG, and General Motors.
