During the eight-day Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, which concluded on Oct 6, Wuxi's Binhu district welcomed 904,000 visitors to its 16 major scenic spots, a remarkable 75 percent year-on-year increase.
This surge in tourism translated into ticket revenue of 71.88 million yuan ($9.88 million), double that of last year and a return to the levels seen in the same period in 2019.
The combined revenue from Binhu's major scenic spots, commercial complexes, and restaurants during the holiday period exceeded an impressive 320 million yuan.

Binhu's major attractions entertained visitors with a vibrant array of daytime and nighttime activities. For example, Yuantouzhu, also known as Turtle Head Isle, hosted a spectacular waterfront music and fireworks extravaganza featuring 500 drones, four music and firework shows, and a rich lineup of stage performances that added a touch of color to the festivities.
