The First Yongchang Motor City Lobster and Beer Festival recently concluded in Hudai town, Binhu district of Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province.

The festival, which was aimed at stimulating consumption and developing the nighttime economy, drew the participation of 11 auto companies that sold 317 cars worth 95.1 million yuan ($13.36 million).

Visitors to the festival enjoyed local snacks and beer, watched performances, and played games.

More such activities are expected to be held at the Yongchang Motor City during the National Day Holiday and on Nov 11 and Dec 12.

A variety of activities to enhance consumption, such as the 19th Wuxi Taihu Lake Cultural Tourism Festival and a camping activity at Wuxi Studios, have been organized in Binhu this year.
