Technology companies in Binhu district, Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, have been achieving excellent results in innovation.

From January to May, the district's companies had gained 541 invention patents, a year-on-year increase of over 60 percent, and 3,070 utility model patents. The number of invention patents per 10,000 people in Binhu is currently 84.74, up 10.65 percent compared to the end of 2021.

Twenty-nine companies in the district have been recognized as municipal-level corporate technology centers.

Wuxi Huifang Technology Co, an intelligent medical solutions provider in Binhu, recently obtained a national-level invention patent for its medical data management system. Powered by big data and artificial intelligence, the system can significantly improve data management efficiency and boost the development of the medical big data industry. The system can also be used in clinical trials of new drugs and accelerate their market entry, said Zhang Jianzhong, director of Huifang Technology.

Industrial parks have also been going the extra mile to promote the growth of tech companies. According to an executive at Shanshuicheng Science and Education Industrial Park, where Huifang Technology is based, the park has been helping companies by setting up a special work team to offer services, facilitating their communications with banks, and encouraged them to attend entrepreneurship and innovation competitions.
