Binhu district in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province recently released a slew of financial support measures to enhance local market entities' confidence and stabilize its economic growth.

Small and micro-sized enterprises and individual businesses that rent State-owned properties can be exempted from a maximum of three months of rent. Agricultural companies or parks at the municipal level or above that rent State-owned properties can receive up to 100,000 yuan ($15,694.79) in subsidies.

Financial institutions are encouraged to provide low-interest loans to lessors who have exempted tenants from rent, and district government-owned microcredit companies should offer short-term loans with interests no higher than the same period last year to small and micro-sized enterprises, rural residents and agricultural companies with good credit ratings.

Agricultural companies that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic can receive a maximum of 100,000 yuan in subsidies. The same applies to industrial companies that generated more than 500 million yuan in output in 2021 and are currently operating at less than 50 percent of capacity.

As for tourism, qualified scenic spots and hotels can receive a maximum of 300,000 yuan in subsidies, while travel agencies and cultural or sports venues can receive a maximum of 100,000 yuan and 5,000 yuan respectively.

Online retail, catering and accommodation businesses that have seen their revenue drop by more than 20 percent this year compared to the same period in 2021 due to the pandemic can receive a maximum of 100,000 yuan, 50,000 yuan and 100,000 yuan respectively.

Supermarkets that span more than 5,000 square meters and are operational during the pandemic will be given an award of up to 50,000 yuan, while those spanning 100,000 sq m are eligible for rewards of up to 100,000 yuan. Supermarkets that deliver daily necessities to residents under lockdown will be rewarded a maximum of 50,000 yuan.
