A total of 59 representatives of the top 100 inbound tour operators in China were invited to visit tourist attractions in Wuxi's Binhu district on Sept 3 during the second Grand Canal Culture and Tourism Expo.

The visit was organized by the local government in an effort to promote the district's rich culture and tourism resources and attract more overseas visitors through travel agencies.

The guests visited Li Garden, a national AAAA scenic spot, along a classic travel route and watched a new stage play about the romantic love story of Fan Li, an ancient Chinese governor, and Xi Shi, one of the four major beauties in ancient China. Li Garden takes its name from Fan Li.

They also visited the Wuxi Three Kingdoms City and Shuihu City, two scenic spots which have served as sets for many films and TV series about Chinese history.
