The regional GDP reached 42.24 billion yuan ($6.14 billion), a year-on-year increase of 7.7 percent, ranking second in the city.

The district’s total retail sales rose to 11.322 billion yuan, up 12.1 percent year-on-year, ranking first in the city.

The total volume of imports and exports grew 4.1 percent to 1.12 billion US dollars, ranking second in the city. Among them, the total export value reached 840 million US dollars, an increase of 8.6 percent year-on-year, ranking first in the city.
