Actors who have performed in the classic historical TV series The Romance of Three Kingdoms visited the Wuxi Movie Base in Binhu district in Wuxi city on April 20 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the play, which is set during the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280).

Many important scenes of the TV series adapted from The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, a famous Chinese classic historical novel by Luo Guanzhong, were shot at Three Kingdoms Town, a major scenic area in the Wuxi Movie Base.

With a lot of large-scale classical architecture the CCTV Wuxi Movie/TV Base has been a hot setting for historical plays and has attracted more and more visitors from home and abroad seeking a taste of traditional Chinese culture.
