A forum on the innovative development of cultural tourism in the Yangtze River Delta was held in Binhu district, Wuxi, on Dec 15.

Supported by Wuxi Municipal Tourism Bureau and Wuxi Binhu People's government, over 150 governors and representatives from travel agencies and investors gathered to talk about the trends in tourism demand among cities in the Yangtze River Delta.

During the forum, Binhu district of Wuxi was awarded the innovation base of watery resort in the Yangtze River Delta for its years of development of all-for-one tourism around Taihu Lake.

Nianhua Bay in Binhu district is gaining popularity as a modern Buddhist resort for visitors to relax, meditate and savor slow-paced monastic lifestyle, part of the Binhu tourism brand.

A total of 13 guests took part in roundtable meetings on the construction of all-for-one tourism and tourist destinations, and the transformation and upgrade of tourist market. Experts believe that the brand-building of tourist destinations in the Yangtze River Delta will form a new urban growth pole that will radiate through the surrounding areas.
