​Government work report of Shanghai's Jiading widely discussed

Deputies to the Jiading District People's Congress and members of the Jiading District Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) recently discussed Jiading's government work report and offered valuable insights for the district's development.

The government work report was delivered at the fourth session of the seventh Jiading District People's Congress, which commenced on Jan 16.

The report highlighted several key initiatives, including the development of future industrial clusters and the advancement of smart manufacturing and digital transformation in Jiading. Deputy Mao Yanbing, vice-dean of the School of Economics at Shanghai University, expressed confidence in Jiading's strong economic momentum and government policies.

Deputy Zhang Dongchi, Party secretary of IM Motors, lauded the district's efforts in establishing itself as a global hub for intelligent connected vehicles, and expressed optimism about the industry's future.

During discussions about the advancements in legal governance, Deputy Wang Xiaqing, director of Shanghai Lvhooo Law Firm, emphasized the importance of a law-based government and expressed her commitment to contributing to Jiading's legal sector.

Gu Jingmei, a CPPCC member and president of the Lu Yanshao Art Academy, expressed confidence in Jiading's cultural development and announced plans for a series of major exhibitions and cultural events in 2024.

Yang Yu, a CPPCC member and official from Jiading's ecology and environment bureau, highlighted Jiading's achievements in ecological protection and pledged to strengthen environmental law enforcement and utilize advanced equipment to contribute to green and low-carbon development.

Shen Yiteng, a CPPCC member and official from Jiading's finance bureau, reflected on the district's economic progress and outlined plans for optimizing fiscal expenditure and promoting social livelihood projects.
