Export value of Shenyang-made medical supplies reaches 370m yuan
In the workshops of Shenyang SIASUN Robot and Automation Co, more than 70 face masks come off the assembly line every minute. Recently, SIASUN Robot completed an order for five million masks and shipped it to Europe.
Shortly after the COVID-19 outbreak occurred, SIASUN Robot set up automatic production lines for N95 masks in a short time by virtue of its technical and innovative strengths. The company has produced and exported nearly 10 million masks since late March. Since the epidemic began, many high-tech enterprises in Shenyang have produced mass medical supplies. In addition to meeting domestic demands, these enterprises have expanded their overseas markets, making Shenyang-made medical supplies for the global anti-epidemic effort.
Seizing the window phase for exporting medical supplies, Shenyang Municipal Commerce Bureau established a coordination mechanism, strengthened communications between departments, unblocked channels for exports, and strengthened promotion and quality control on goods.
Moreover, the commerce bureau, together with other related departments, provided support for the enterprises in clarifying requirements, arranging shipments, logistics, customs clearance and standard certification, boosting the city's enterprises' expansion into international markets.
To date, the total export value of medical supplies in Shenyang has reached 370 million yuan ($52 million). The materials include masks, preventive clothing, temperature measuring equipment, ventilators and oxygen production equipment, CTs and DR (digital radiography) machines.
