The Rhododendron Festival in Arxan, Hinggan League is scheduled to open on May 19, which marks the China Tourism Day.

Arxan, located on the Sino-Mongolian border, in the far northeastern corner of Inner Mongolia autonomous region has held the rhododendron festival for years.

The rhododendron festival in Arxan, as part of series of flower festivals in Inner Mongolia is set to last nearly a month.

The festival will consist of an opening ceremony, tourism promotional conferences, a hiking event and an assortment of cultural activities including local dance shows and a cycling culture exhibition.
