Baotou expands trade circle in Singapore
A negotiation delegation from the Baotou bureau of commerce, Inner Mongolia Runchen Agricultural Development Co, and Beiben Import and Export Co in Baotou recently visited Singapore to conduct a series of economic and trade discussions.
During the visit, the delegation participated in the "2024 Food & Beverage Asia" and the "China (Inner Mongolia)-Singapore Investment Cooperation Symposium" and held discussions with the China Enterprises Association (Singapore). They explored ways to streamline communication channels with Singapore and create mutually beneficial cooperation platforms.
Subsequently, officials of the Baotou bureau of commerce signed a framework agreement for economic and trade cooperation with the Singapore-China Association, agreeing to strengthen exchanges, exhibition projects, and information sharing.
The delegation also visited the National University of Singapore (NUS) to learn about Baotou's development in rare earth, polysilicon photovoltaics, advanced metal materials, new energy heavy trucks, and hydrogen energy storage industries. NUS expressed interest in establishing a research center for new energy and new materials in Baotou and in the commercialization of research results.
Next, the Bureau will further explore cooperation details with the respective enterprises and NUS.
