Foreign-funded enterprise representatives visit Baotou
Representatives from 32 foreign-funded enterprises and seven foreign business associations participated on June 6 in the Baotou leg of the "Inner Mongolia Tour" in Baotou, where they visited local enterprises and explored opportunities for cooperation.
The "China Regions Tours" for Foreign-funded Enterprises is a flagship event organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). Over the years, it has played a significant role in promoting exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign enterprises, driving the development of local open economies, and supporting high-level opening-up initiatives.
During this visit, representatives from foreign enterprises toured some key companies, including Shuangliang Silicon Materials (Baotou) Co, Jinli Permanent Magnet (Baotou) Technology Co, and Beiben Trucks Group Co.
"Baotou boasts abundant wind and other resources, and a favorable business environment. We welcome enterprises to come and grow in Baotou and look forward to deepening cooperation with business leaders in the new energy sector to jointly advance the high-quality development of Baotou's wind power equipment manufacturing industrial cluster," said Zhang Zhonghai, president of Mingyang New Energy Onshore Equipment Headquarters Group Co.
Baotou is renowned as the "Rare Earth Capital City", with the world's largest rare earth reserves and the highest production capacity in rare earth refining and separation. It also has the highest domestic production capacity for rare earth magnetic materials, polishing materials, catalytic auxiliary materials, and hydrogen storage materials.
Moreover, Baotou is known as the "World Green Silicon City" and was among the first cities in China to achieve a photovoltaic industry output value exceeding 100 billion yuan ($13.81 billion). It leads the nation in the production of polysilicon and monocrystalline silicon.
