With the vigorous development of its import and export trade, Mandula Port's role as a pivotal node for opening-up has become increasingly prominent. As of April 10, the freight volume that has cleared through Mandula Port this year has surpassed 2.02 million metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 62.47 percent.

Mandula Port is on the China-Mongolia border. It is the closest land port to the autonomous region's capital, Hohhot city, and the industrial city of Baotou.

The Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner commerce bureau has implemented a series of measures to coordinate the management and external dispatch of goods in its jurisdiction this year. It will continue to implement measures to promote the steady increase of freight volume through Mandula Port. During the customs clearance process, an appointment is made first, and then the goods are gathered in one location for inspection. This approach improves cargo security, while also reducing customs clearance time and costs.

Next, Mandula Port will promote multimodal transport and infrastructure construction in order to help establish a green and intelligent land port in the autonomous region.
