Wine industry's future discussed in Baotou
A wine industry summit forum was held in Baotou from March 9 to 11, during which 55 wine-making enterprises from Inner Mongolia autonomous region discussed the new measures and new culture surrounding the development of the wine industry in Inner Mongolia.
Song Shuyu, chairman of the China Wine Association, attended the summit forum and delivered a keynote speech. Song elaborated on how to achieve high-quality development of the liquor industry in terms of branding, quality, category, production area, industrial chain, industrial economy, talent, technology, and culture.
The high-quality development of the wine industry would not be possible without the support of professional talent.
At the forum, Han Ruiping, dean of the Vocational and Technical College of Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, said that the college had launched college-enterprise cooperation with many wine-making enterprises such as Camel Wine Industry, and conducted in-depth cooperation in talent training, curriculum cooperation, professional co-construction, and scientific and technological innovation.
Inner Mongolia Luotuo Wine Group Co, a local Baotou liquor brand, has ranked among the top 100 enterprises in the Chinese wine industry for three consecutive years. Its market share of camel wine in Baotou has reached 60 percent.
Jia Yun, chairman of the board of supervisors of the company, said that the company would be committed to moving on from the regional market to the autonomous region and then on to national markets.
