Students at No 1 Experimental Primary School of Baogang based in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, participated in a special intangible cultural heritage display class on June 17.

They, together with students at Gongchanglu Primary School in Wuzhou, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, took part in the online class using programming technology to light up the eyes of lion toys, which are often seen in traditional lion dance performances.

"The integration of lion dance culture and technology in teaching can cultivate students' scientific and technological innovation abilities and allow teachers to integrate education across different subjects, providing students with more choices for future development," said Feng Yanjun, vice-president of No 1 Experimental Primary School of Baogang.

The event aimed to promote regional ethnic culture exchange by building an internet exchange platform with the help of information technology.
