Baotou inks 5G digital alfalfa demonstration pasture project agreement
Baotou recently signed a cooperation agreement for a 5G digital alfalfa demonstration project to be developed in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to local media reports.
The project, developed by Baotou Inner Mongolia Huayu Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Machinery Co and the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Aerospace Information Research Institute, is expected to draw in an investment of 100 million yuan ($15.47 million).
The project will apply 5G, Beidou real-time kinematic high-precision positioning, satellite remote sensing, internet of things, artificial intelligence and other world-leading technologies to build a 5G digital alfalfa pasture in Baotou city.
Coincidingly, it will develop new energy agricultural machinery mass production lines and pasture ecological planting workstations.
