Located at the southern foot of the Greater Hinggan Mountains and the northern tip of Horqin Sandy Land, Horqin Right Wing Middle Banner, Hinggan League, in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- the Horqin Right Wing Middle Banner for short -- boasts a long history and a rich culture. It is home to 60,000 hectares of the Acer Mono Natural Reserve and Ecotourism Scenic Area, which is the largest savanna in Asia and one of the representative areas in Horqin.

The banner has abundant ecological types including open forests, grasslands and wetlands and a native ecosystem featuring diverse natural types as well as a complex structure. After the Frost's Descent, colorful and fascinating Acer mono forests draw great attention from visitors and photographers from all parts of the world.

The "Hinggan League—Acer Mono Cup World Savanna Photography Exhibition" -- abbreviated as the "Acer Mono Cup World Savanna Photography Exhibition" -- will be held to highlight the green and ecological glamour of the Acer mono forests in the Hinggan League and their significance in  ecological civilization construction. The photographs clearly reflect the relationships among all kinds of living things, between living things and the environment and between humanity and nature in the natural ecosphere by means of images -- and help to publicize the unique natural ecosystem and rich biodiversity of the Hinggan League. Photographers from all over the world are warmly welcome to proactively participate in the exhibition and contribute photography and video works.
