In a bid to attract fresh investment, improve industrial technology and revitalize rural areas, a conference on the potato industry was held in Ulaanqab, a city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, from March 18 to 19.

At the conference, attendees listened to experts' views on the industry's future, with forums held to discuss industry development, production and marketing.

According to local media reports, a total of four projects were agreed during the conference.
