Hohhot launched a voluntary tree planting campaign on Daiqing Mountain on April 14. Aiming to raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests and environmental conservation, Hohhot Daily, the Hohhot volunteer association and Inner Mongolia Green Building Association organized the event, which included activities such as hiking and planting trees.

Almost 300 volunteers from local companies and institutions participated in the event, planting 10,000 hectares of trees.

Liu Jiulong Qilu Pharmaceutical (Inner Mongolia) Co Ltd believes environmental protection to be an important part of corporate social responsibility.

In addition to planting trees, Qilu Pharmaceutical will continue developing energy-saving and environmentally friendly products, Liu noted.

In 2006, Inner Mongolia launched an annual tree planting campaign. From April 10 to 16, cities in the region will launch a series of events and activities to promote the campaign.
