In 2019, the Inner Mongolia autonomous region's sown areas of crops researched 8.89 million hectares, an increase of 0.7 percent from the previous year.

Of which, the sown areas of grain crops reached 6.83 million hectares, increasing by 0.6 percent year on year; the sown area of cash crops was 2.06 million hectares, an increase of 1.2 percent compared with that in 2018.

In 2019, Inner Mongolia’s gross grain output reached 36.53 million metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.8 percent.

It included 2.29 million tons of oil-bearing crops, a year-on-year increase of 13.5 percent; 2.67 million tons of beets, a year-on-year of 22.1 percent; 158.08 million tons of vegetables, a year-on-year of 8.4 percent; and 2.84 million tons of fruits, a year-on-year increase of 6.1 percent.
