National art history conference held at IMNU

The 14th National Art History Conference of Higher Education Institutions kicked off at Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) in Hohhot, capital city of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Oct 17.

This year’s conference had the theme of "From the North to the World: An Open Vision of Cross-Cultural Art History".

It was attended by around 110 university and college representatives, who discussed and exchanged opinions in six areas: foreign art history, Chinese art history, cross-cultural art, art theory and criticism, religious art history and ethnic art history.

The National Art History Conference of Higher Education Institutions is an authoritative professional conference on Chinese art history research. It has been held for thirteen consecutive sessions since 2007. 

It is an important academic platform for domestic art history experts and scholars to communicate with each other. Previous annual conferences have made important contributions to the prosperity and development of art history in China.
