Students at Inner Mongolia Normal University in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region went back to campus in batches from May 13, according to IMNU officials.

According to the plans, a total of 406 students studying in IMNU’s Shengle campus returned to campus on May 13, while other students in its Saihan campus will start coming back on May 16.

It is estimated that those graduating this summer and all the postgraduates will return to campus at the end of May, or at the start of June.

Students should fill in applications for returning to school online, as required by the university.

IMNU officials said the university will offer a health code to students, based on their daily health declaration data. Only students obtaining a green health code will be allowed to return.

Students from some severely affected areas will still need continue studying online at home.

Officials said that strict novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control materials were being given to returning students, to help them keep safe and healthy.

Dining, accommodation, their general whereabouts and other safety information about the returning students will be recorded.

If someone develops an abnormal condition, the school will take measures to isolate the student as soon as possible according to the emergency management requirements.

IMNU has already prepared 222 isolated rooms in its two campuses for quarantining and observing students.
