The nomination list of the 2019 Xinguang Award, an event for rewarding original animations and comics from around the world, was released on Aug 29. Ten animations created by students from Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) were nominated for Best Animation Short Films. 

Filmmakers from 16 countries and regions participated in the competition with 3,213 projects. Various awards including Best Picture, Best New Animation and Best Series will be honored to outstanding works.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to open on Sept 26 in Xi’an, capital city of Shaanxi province, during which the results will be announced to the public.
