IMNU to focus more on cultural heritage protection

A delegation led by Gao Yunfeng, deputy party secretary of Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU), participated in the founding conference of the Belt and Road Cultural Heritage Global Alliance (BRCHGA) held in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on May 11.

The alliance, launched by Northwestern Polytechnical University, will focus on the rich and varied cultural heritage resources of countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, play to the strengths of each founding member, and adopt a multidisciplinary approach to carrying out research on the protection, cultivation, and utilization of cultural heritage.

As one of the 53 initial members of the alliance, IMNU will focus on the history of science and technology and contribute to scientific and technological archaeology and the protection of cultural heritage.
