Xu Haifeng, China's first Olympic gold medal winner and a recipient of the reform pioneer medal, shared his experiences with students at Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) in Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Jan 9.
Students listened as the Olympian recalled his gold medal win, and how he trained hard for his success.
During the event, it was announced that IMNU has taken the decision to employ Xu as an adjunct professor, in order to help develop the teaching of physical education at the university.
