IMNU students win prizes for animations

Students from Inner Mongolia Normal University's (IMNU) Institute of Sculpture Art were awarded prizes at the 13th Western College Students' Animation Festival, according to a list of winners released on Nov 29.

As one of the most influential animation events in China, the Western College Students' Animation Festival has been held 13 times. Since 2006, the festival has aimed to highlight outstanding domestic animation works and talented animators through exchanges, encouraging the enthusiasm and innovative spirit of IMNU students, and promoting the development of China's animation industry.

Thousands of original animations created at over 60 renowned universities and institutions in China and abroad took part in the event. Hao Sihui, an IMNU graduate student, won first prize for a picture book. And two students won prizes for animated shorts.
