A forum on Mongolian linguistics for postgraduates was held at Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) in Hohhot, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Nov 24.

The gathering was organized by IMNU, with the aim of giving students the opportunity to discuss Mongolian linguistics with students attending other universities, and to share their experiences of conducting research.

Some 200 postgraduates and scholars from Peking University, Inner Mongolia University, Minzu University of China and other four universities attended the forum.

The event included three sub-forums, focusing on studies of linguistics, philology, and modern and contemporary literature.

During the forum, experts also reviewed papers written by attendees to help them improve their academic performance.

According to IMNU, the forum has been held annually since its launch in 2015.
