Robot, computer competition held at IMNU

The 2018 Robot Technology and Computer Application Competition for College Students in Five Provinces (Municipalities and Autonomous Regions) of North China was held at Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Oct 20.

The contest attracted over 300 participants divided into 65 teams from 15 universities across the autonomous region to engage in four categories of robot competition, with an additional 80 participants in 23 teams from 12 colleges and universities participating in the computer application contest.

A team from IMNU won first prize in the robot creative design competition and the second prize for the robot art competition (group dance) and robot service competition (logistics service).

I hope that the competition will further strengthen innovation and collaboration at the university, said Zhang Haifeng, the vice-chancellor of IMNU.

“I hope that all institutions of higher learning can go on to promote the vigorous development of robot technology, computer application technology and related industries with an open attitude. And greater contributions should be made to the economic construction and social development of the autonomous region,” said An Limin, the deputy director of the competition organizing committee, and director of the Higher Education Office in the Department of Education of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
