A military Ulan Muqir art troupe was established at Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Sept 23, the first of its kind in the region.

To mark its establishment, the troupe later gave a performance at the university.

The art troupe, made up of students from the College of Music at IMNU, is a branch of the university's international Ulan Muqir art troupe, which was established in May.

According to IMNU, the military Ulan Muqir art troupe will perform for freshmen while they take part in their military training at the campus.

It will also perform at army bases across the region, to entertain serving personnel and boost morale.
