Culture industry research center unveiled in Inner Mongolia

A research center to examine the culture industry of Inner Mongolia was unveiled at a conference held to discuss reforms to the culture industry in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Aug 10.

Established by the publicity department of the regional Party committee, and Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU), the base is located at the International Exchange College of IMNU.

Using the university's resources, the center is set to become a platform for strategic cooperation in the culture sector, and it will enhance links between educational institutions and local authorities.

A new boost to regional culture disciplines is also planned, in order to help boost Inner Mongolia's culture industry.

A series of events including a design competition and exhibitions of calligraphy and photography will be held over the next few months.

The new research center aims to build a foundation for the industry in the region and introduce private capital to the culture market to enhance the vitality of the regional market in 2019. And in 2020, it plans to set up a cultural think tank to help the promotion and innovation of traditional cultural brands.
