Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) will collaborate with a local culture media enterprise to build an Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Cultural and Creative Incubation Center, according to an announcement made during a signing ceremony held in Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 17.

IMNU's School of History and Culture and Research Center for Cultural Industry Development signed a strategic agreement with Hohhot Muller Culture Media Co Ltd to establish a comprehensive base focusing on the research and promotion of intangible cultural heritage.

Paper cutting, straw painting, dough modelling and 13 other national and regional ICH items are on display at the incubation center for the practical education of students.

The center will also be a platform for young entrepreneurs to develop more creative ICH products.

"The incubation center will introduce ICH items into the modern culture and media industry, so as to attract more college students to start business in the industry," said Cui Xia, general manager of Hohhot Muller Culture Media Co Ltd.

Ms Cui Xia added that IMNU leads the nation in combining the promotion of ICH with entrepreneurship.

A Research Base on the County Culture Industry was unveiled on the same day.

Yu Yong, director of the School of History and Culture at IMNU said that the school has been an active participant in the development of county culture during the establishment of the incubation center.
