Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) delegation led the medal tally in the third national university championship of Chinese-style wrestling which was held in Nanjing from May 24 to 28.

Hosted by Chinese University Sports Federation, the championship represents a contest of the highest standard of Chinese-style wrestling, attracting over 500 students from some 60 universities.

IMNU students majoring in law, sociology and Mongolian studies won ten gold, three silver and four bronze medals in the contest, best result till date for the IMNU wrestling delegation.

IMNU set Inner Mongolian wrestling as a compulsory course in 1984. On such basis, Chinese-style wrestling, combining traditional cultures and modern educational philosophy, was introduced into IMNU in 2015, promoting such sports among university students.
