Inner Mongolia Science and Technology Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) to establish the Science Alliance for Regional Universities, at the launch ceremony of Inner Mongolia Science and Technology Week on May 19.

Six other universities, including Inner Mongolia University (IMU) also signed the MOU.

The Science Alliance for Regional Universities is a non-profit organization dedicated to pooling resources for the development of science and technology in the region.

During the ceremony, Inner Mongolia Science and Technology Department also designated the Biological Specimen Museum at IMNU as a Science and Technology Demonstrative Base in Inner Mongolia.

The museum represents part of the first batch of 12 units authorized during the ceremony.
