Three scholars were honored by the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia for their great contributions in exchanges and cooperation between China and Mongolia at Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) on May 20.

Bagen Hasi, president of College of Life Science and Technology at IMNU, Qiao Gexia, deputy director of Institute of Zoology under the Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), and Liang Hongbin, associate professor of Institute of Zoology under CAS were awarded with the award of Outstanding Contributor in Agriculture and Light Industry at the ceremony.

On behalf of the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia, Byambyn Solon, director from Mongolian institute of plant protection awarded the medals and certificates at the ceremony.

Byambyn Solon spoke highly of the contributions made by three scholars in the area of scientific researches and talent training for the common development of China and Mongolia during the award ceremony.

Liu Jiuwan, vice-president of IMNU said that IMNU would deepen the cooperation with institutes at Mongolia to bring a new era of strategic partnership.

When speaking at the ceremony, the three award winners expressed their gratitude towards Mongolia and showed their willingness to make more contributions to bilateral cooperation on science and education.
