Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) was entitled an annual new media by Xinhua News Agency in Beijing on May 4, in acknowledgement of its contribution to the youth media area.

On behalf of the university, IMNU student Liu Ting received the certificate. She was also admitted to Xinhua News Agency's Youth College in recognition of her efforts in the youth media field.

Supported by IMNU's publicity department and run by IMNU students, IMNU's account on Sina Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter, has 20,569 followers, tops among universities in Inner Mongolia.

The account publishes an average of 15 posts a day, and boosts its fan base by 30 each day as well.
